Once removed and unfolded, you find all you need is boxed and attached with zip ties to the undercarriage of the bed (see photo). The legs (6 in total) have layered sections that unscrew so you can add or remove height in increments (see photo). The legs have a hard plastic foot, which isn’t bad, but we were afraid might scratch the hardwood floor. We attached felt tabs that had adhesive backing, just to be safe (see photo).

Both beds easily fit into an existing bed frame when you remove the slats that support the old box spring (see photo showing one of the 2 in place).

All the cords lay on the floor, much to the dismay of my lovely wife who like an easy to clean household. To maintain happiness in said household, I twist tied them up and out of the way onto the frame, taking care not to tie to any moving frame parts or where moving frame parts contact each other.

There is a battery backup box that gets plugged in tandem with the power brick, incase of power outages. Good design thought here. They tell you in the instructions, and on a decal on the outside of the battery backup box, not to leave the batteries in as they, over long periods of time, can leak acid and ruin the box. This is true and power outages are rare but I didn’t want to have to crawl under the bed to access the battery box the power ever did decide to go out. So, instead of having the wired battery box lay on the floor, I zip tied them to the base of our bed frame for easier access (see photo).

VERY quiet , smooth and comfortable speed in operation. The under bed lighting is subtle and welcomed for those middle of the night relief breaks. 2 USB ports per bed are also welcome, too, placed at the outer edge under the head of the bed. Yes, under, not on the side. Once you have whatever charging cable plugged in here, you’ll probably want to leave the cables plugged in there and plug/unplug the device you’re charging instead. Not sure we will ever use the massage feature, which is a good design but kind of a novelty. We definitely wanted the ability to have memory presets, the one touch zero-G position, one touch anti-snore position (my wife thanks you) and the under bed lighting. The massage just happened to come with the package.

Very well made, very quiet and very sad we didn’t get one these YEARS ago. As a 54 year old male, the zero-G offers welcomed back relief (which has had herniated disc surgery). And my wife (who remains ageless) says she has never slept so well.

UPDATE February 2023:
Here’s it is, 5 years and 2 moves later: Still working without a hitch, still loving this bed. Everything mentioned above (including me, my ageless wife, the bed frame and the bed sheets) remains in excellent working order. One of the best, non regrettable purchases we’ve ever made.

First off, setting it up is simple; unpack the two twin adjustable bases and set them on their side, set length and install each of their six legs per base, plug in the power supply to the base, turn the frame upside up and plug in the base to an electrical socket. Then you unpack the remote control, install the three included AAA batteries and perform a test of each of the bed’s function.

Unpacking the two mattresses took a little patient to prevent damaging them. They are compressed and then vacuumed-sealed in clear, thick plastic, so one must be careful not to cut through the mattress when removing the plastic. Once unwrapped, it only takes a few minutes for the mattresses to expand to their original thickness.

So, we had a chance to sleep on this bed for the last two nights, plus I took a nap yesterday using its zero-gravity position. So far, I must say that this bed is everything the manufacture claims it to be. At first, I thought the mattress was going to be too soft, but it turns out to be just right. It’s very comfortably and, especially, the bed’s zero-gravity adjustment is a great feature when taking a nap or just for relaxing.

Since the king-split comes with two separate bases and mattresses, there’s no disturbance when one partner moves around or get up from the bed. Also, each bed includes two remote controls to adjust each base independently. The remotes come with three quick programmed adjustments, which can be changed or reprogrammed by user. The under the bed light comes on handy when getting up in the middle of the night for any reason…bright enough to walk safely at night, but not so bright to disturb others.

I tried using its massage feature, but due to its 12” thick mattress, IMO, it doesn’t provide a real benefit; the vibration just doesn’t travel well through the mattress. Each base comes with four USB ports; they are under the bed, positioned upside down. Because they are upside down, if the USB cable is not tight, it can fall off and get disconnected, especially when adjusting the frame. This can be prevented by squeezing the cable’s metal connector a bit at a time until it goes in tight. You can also use plastic ties to tie the cable to the bed’s frame.

As for the price, IMO, there’s no lower price on an adjustable bed, with such features and quality, in the market right now. I did several researches, searching for adjustable beds that didn’t cost an arm and a leg, while providing at least some basic features. This bed came out on top, not just because of its many features, but especially when it came to price. Most manufactures I checked offered just the adjustable base, without the mattress, for about the same price as this complete set.

To summarize; at least for the split-king bed, it’s simple to setup…no tools needed. It includes two mattresses, two bases and two remote controls. The bed is comfortable, and the remotes work well when adjusting the bases. The bed is also great for relaxing after a hard-day’s work, though, IMO, its massage feature can be improved. Finally, you can’t beat its price, especially with the many useful features. It looks and feels solid built, but only time will tell how long it’ll last.

So, for now, I give this bed a five star because its many features, price and seller support. I recommend it.

One more thing, I had to contact the seller twice because of issues with FedEx shipping. They replied each time and followed up to ensure the issues were resolved. At least to me, that’s a plus…it says a lot about a seller when they stand by their product and ensure customer satisfaction.

Update: Each bed needs six legs, not four as I had stated previously. Each leg comes in sections, with each section measuring approximately 3-inches in length. You adjust the legs by adding or removing sections. With all four sections installed per leg, bed’s height is approximately 14.5 inches to the top of the base and 27 inches to the top of the mattress.

The anti-snore feature may be useful for back sleepers, but I can’t see how it’ll benefit side sleepers. As I understand it, this is the way it’s supposed to work; if your partner is snoring, you press the anti-snoring button on the remote and this will raise the head side of the bed a few degrees. This action momentarily interrupts your partner’s snoring (similar to when shaking someone who is snoring). After about 5-minutes, the bed will return to its flat position.

I didn’t think I’d be this pleased with this bed frame but WOW. For 1/3 the price of competitors? It’s a steal.

I didn’t anticipate that it would come folded in half which makes it really easy to move apartments. And the modular leg system got me the perfect height.

Very smooth and quiet motors. Articulates higher than you would ever need it to.

And the massage motors! The lowest setting is by far the best because the low RPM is actually more soothing and less aggressive. Quiet enough to let me enjoy a movie and not to disturb my downstairs neighbors. I’m using a Purple mattress and there’s no issue feeling them all the way through. Just wish they timed out after 30 mins instead of 10.

After about 5 minutes in zero g with the massage running, you really start to feel the effect on your muscles and circulation. I’m so relaxed!

Setup was SO easy. Plug n play. Ask a friend for help. The remote is intuitive and everything is right where I want it.

Very clean & simple design. Well built & sturdy. Not an eyesore and still allows for plenty of under bed storage (avoiding the articulating arms).

Seriously, if you’re thinking about it you better pull the trigger on this thing ASAP. I can’t say enough about it. Well done!
